watercolor 8 x 10 inches
There are 18 of these Tundra swans hanging out in a ditch along the road to Bartlett Cove and they don't seem to mind cars stopping and people taking pictures of them. I went there with a friend yesterday and came home and started painting this from one of the photos I took. There seem to be more and more of them staying here for the winter and this is the first time I've had such a close look at so many of them.

I love all of the paintings you did for the challenge: what a variety of appealing subjects; and always with your fine composition and beautiful washes. As I am always unable to produce grays, I find myself most attracted to them, and thus to this gorgeous painting.
