THE COTTONWOOD

This old cottonwood has been seen on this blog before.  It's outside my studio window.  There are some large spruce behind it that I left out.

LAST MONTH AT THE BEACH

 

This is most likely my last plein air painting for the year, done on one of our rare nice days in October ( the 12th).   It was quite cold.

 On the 28th, I did this and the next one from the car.  It was raining off and on, the sky changing faster than I could paint it...

and the sun coming out for a while.   I took a walk to the river and there was a gorgeous rainbow over town.  I'm glad I took advantage of a rare day with some sun.
